Recent research by Lansons and Opinium found that a quarter of employees (24%) have taken time off in the last 12 months due to work induced stress. Absence in the workplace is more common now and dealing with it as an employer can often be difficult.
Companies are often unaware of the correct procedure when an employee is off work – especially when there are HR procedures such as disciplinary hearings ongoing.
Assessing these situations can be challenging and Dr Philip McCrea, managing director at BHSF Occupational Health, will be speaking at Reward Live 2016 (Wednesday 11th May, 12.35) to explain the best ways to do this.
