Learn about what makes an award-wining HR strategy from the topper of the ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Not-For-Profit Company to Work For’.

Edgbaston-(27)

Each year, there are companies that go from success to failure or vice versa. Yet, people remain unaware of what a firm’s strategy is and how they’ve turned a company around.

South Liverpool Housing Group was transformed from a failing company to an award-winning one. For three years in a row, South Liverpool Housing Group has topped the ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Not-For-Profit Company to Work For’ and won ‘Best health and wellbeing initiative’ at the 2014 CIPD People Management Awards. The chief executive was also presented with a landmark achievement award at the national Women in Housing Awards.

However, South Liverpool Housing Group was not always a soaring success. With the help of HR strategies, tools and techniques, they have transformed it from a failing company to an award winning one. By creating employee engagement, alongside other factors, SLH has been able to elevate itself to victory.

Colin Gibson, head of HR & organisational development at SLH, will be speaking at Reward Live (Thursday 12th May, 10:05 am) and will be drawing on stories and examples that demonstrate how the company has been turned around. He will be sharing his views and tips on excellence in HR.
