Pensions Insight’s DC Awards return to celebrate the best in scheme management
Responsibility for choice around retirement savings now sits squarely on the shoulders of employees – and if they make an ill-informed decision they risk running out of money during their later years.
Accordingly, more and more employers are helping their staff with the decisions that face them: through financial education, paid-for advice, modellers, face-to-face communications and so on.
HR managers and reward directors often play an invaluable role in championing pensions in the workplace – encouraging their employees to make those vital savings for their retirement and understand the choices ahead.
Reward’s sister publication, Pensions Insight, is launching the second year of the Defined Contribution Awards, to celebrate best practice in pensions, from governance to communication.
This year the team wants to celebrate an HR or reward manager who is dedicated to promoting pensions to employees – do you have what it takes, or know someone who does?
Jack Jones, editor of Pensions Insight, comments: “The company pension is a key part of firms’ reward package, but has too often been treated as a separate concern. This award celebrates those HR professionals who show a passion for pensions, and who champion workplace savings to their staff.”
This year’s awards ceremony will take place in central London on Wednesday 26th October, after the DC Insight Conference.
