Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are celebrating the delivery of their first cars after implementing a new Car Benefit Scheme from market leaders, Tusker
Proven to aid in retaining and motivating existing employees, while helping to attract new talent, the Car Benefit Scheme from Tusker is an exciting addition to the overall benefits package, at the two hospital sites on the outskirts of London.
The Car Benefit Scheme provides employees with the opportunity to drive a brand new car, complete with insurance, road tax, breakdown cover, servicing and tyres, for a fixed monthly amount, on a three year agreement.
Colleen Sherlock, Assistant Director of HR, Corporate Services, explains the decision to implement the scheme, she says “We want to become an employer of choice but it’s a very competitive marketplace for skilled people at the moment. We’re doing all we can to enhance the range of benefits we have on offer for our staff, and the Car Benefit Scheme was a big part of that.”
She continues, “We’re promoting our benefits packages to really highlight what our staff are eligible for and helping them to get the most out of working with us. The fact that the Car Benefit Scheme also provides a financial saving for the Trust is a bonus too!”
Colleen identified a range of benefits, including the Car Benefit Scheme which could be available to the vast majority of staff and would be attractive to them. These benefits are quickly becoming an integral part of employee remuneration packages.
The team were surprised at the simplicity of the scheme during the implementation and launch, and at the amount of support they received from Tusker, who provided guidance throughout the implementation process and attended a number of launch events to promote the scheme to drivers.
Colleen comments, “It was really simple. Once we had identified the scheme and the fact that it was already compliant within a framework we could access, it only took a few months for us to get the Car Benefit Scheme launched. Tusker made it very easy.”
The scheme launched to the Trust’s 2,689 eligible employees on the 19th June and the reception from employees has been excellent, “the launch really created a buzz and people are excited about this new benefit” Colleen added.
Paul Gilshan, COO at Tusker comments, “We’re delighted to be supporting Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with their new Car Benefit Scheme. It’s enabling more people to drive a brand new car than ever before, particularly those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford a new car.”
