Happy staff equals high productivity at the eCommerce company


Following a change of ownership in 2014, Visualsoft developed and formalised an ongoing benefits and people strategy, putting a number of changes and measurements in place to increase employee wellness and productivity – and leading to them winning the 2016 VIB for Best Overall Reward and Benefits Strategy.


We've always had a strong focus on the health and wellbeing of our staff,” says Emma Hart, HR manager. “We recognised the close link between the happiness of our staff and their excellent output, leading to the continuing success of our company.”


Visualsoft has seen a measurable increase in productivity and engagement: and want to achieve continued growth in 2017.


We are going to be introducing a number of new health and well-being benefits to our staff to make sure that we keep and attract the best staff, including financial planning, mental health support and health/fitness” comments Hart. “We already have a number of these measures in place, but we want to keep pushing the boundaries and challenging ourselves. Our company plans in our service sector rely on our staff as they are our biggest asset and are valued as such.”


Winning a VIB for this strategy has helped not only to demonstrate to staff the value of the work Visualsoft has put into building the strategy, but also created a wider interest in the company.


Hart adds: “The award has impacted on the recognition from our own staff and from other companies. We've had lots of contact since from others interested in knowing what we've implemented and the impact it has had on our company. We are really proud to be a VIB award winner and the recognition it has led to!”
