Increasing Moog employees' engagement with their voluntary benefits increased engagement with the platform - and so with their pension
With 1,200 employees spread UK-wide, Moog’s My Rewards platform is the central resource for employee engagement. “We wanted to use the platform to demonstrate employees’ core benefits and increase their pension engagement,” says Helen Buckland, UK compensation & benefits manager.
“We knew that increasing our voluntary benefits was a way we could drive engagement with the My Rewards platform, so we worked to find the best voluntary benefits out there: a comprehensive package at the best price in the market.”
Working with Thompsons Online Benefits, Moog then introduced the ‘My Reward Extra’ element of the platform: a savings portal where employees can find reloadable cards and discount vouchers.
Use of the voluntary benefits is growing, with new ones introduced each year – set up via salary sacrifice where possible to help staff save money. A particular hope is this will encourage staff to voluntarily increase their pension contributions.
Moog’s future plans are ambitious, with the launch of a new reward centre. “Employees will have a single sign-on for all their benefits,” explains Buckland. “The enrolment process and voluntary platform will be streamlined.”
